We are looking for an Oil & Gas Sales Manager to lead, manage and grow our existing UK Oil & Gas business. The role will suit an experienced sales manager with contacts within the UK Oil & Gas market, ideally Aberdeen-based. The role will form part of our UK Commercial team, with support from our UK Head Office in Manchester.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building and converting a sales pipeline from existing and new clients
  • Commercial Account Management of specified UK & Ireland Oil & Gas customers
  • Liaising and building relationships & rapport with new and existing customers
  • Identifying and following through new opportunities
  • Attending customer meetings, technical sales presentations, on-site customer product demonstrations and conferences/exhibitions
  • Ensuring business growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Responsible for both inbound enquiries and developing new business
  • Working with the UK & Ireland Sales and Marketing team to devise regional specific targeted campaigns to generate leads
  • Providing input for regional budgets and product and service forecasts
  • Regular reporting on sales activity and pipeline

    The role can be based from home in the UK. Full product training will be provided.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years sales management experience in UK Oil & Gas Industry
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Experience managing a sector/region P&L with good accountability for own budget and targets.
  • Previous experience dealing with project stakeholders; OEMs, EPC’s and End Users/Operators.
  • Strong management and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport
  • Commercially astute with negotiation skills
  • Be able to work both reactively and proactively in a busy and varied sales environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in Condition Monitoring of assets and/or Partial Discharge
  • Experience of selling into North Sea Oil & Gas
  • Experience of Salesforce (CRM)
