Borescope Visual Inspection

Internal inspection of the insulation condition of your rotating machines

A borescope inspection is an optical system, which uses a rigid or flexible camera sensor, to allow visibility of a rotating machine’s internal condition.

Borescope inspection can detect potential problems in motors and generators such as wear and tear, corrosion, cracks, and other abnormalities. Early detection of such problems can help prevent costly breakdowns and downtime.

The inspection is carried out without having to disassemble the machine, reducing the need for workers to enter confined spaces. This can improve overall safety for maintenance personnel, and provide detailed images of the interior of a rotating machine. These images are uploaded to Atlas by Monitra™, which then help maintenance personnel make informed decisions on repairs and replacements.
