High Voltage Partial Discharge Ltd (HVPD) are industry leading experts in the market of On-Line Partial Discharge (PD) test and monitoring technology for complete medium and high voltage power networks. We design and build a range of electrical condition monitoring technology and provide solutions to a diverse range of markets including; Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Heavy Industry across a pan-global client base.

HVPD Ltd has an exciting opportunity, based in our head office in Manchester, UK, for a Tendering Engineer to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate technical requirements for new projects and provide technical input and scope of supply for tenders. This role would suit a graduate – someone looking to build upon their knowledge, gain professional qualifications, work in a technical field and who would enjoy being part of a team.
Training – Full training on our products and services will be provided. The position will offer the successful candidate significant career progression through hands on training.

Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- To effectively identify and assess technical requirements for commercial enquiries.
- To co-ordinate internal company communications between departments (technical, sales and production) assisting the preparation and issuing of tenders and technical/commercial proposals.
- To engage with new and existing customers.
- Preparing technical scopes of supply for equipment.
- Understanding marketplace for Partial Discharge condition monitoring products.
- Writing in-house documentation.
- Ability to use the company's PD test and monitoring equipment.
- Sourcing bespoke and third-party components.
- Contributing to new and existing product development.
- Expected to work to company ISO procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (and/or other relevant Engineering discipline/experience).
- The ability to work as part of a dynamic team and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of both engineering design principles and the area of High Voltage.
- Good computer skills, including documentation and report writing.
- Ability to use advanced features of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment (ideally HV).
- Knowledge of test instrumentation.
