We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead, manage and grow the Services arm of our business through the delivery of first-class partial discharge/condition monitoring & installation projects.
The role will suit an engineering professional, with experience of managing a team in a condition monitoring department, who is driven to have responsibility for, and grow a busy and high-performing Services team.

Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Generation and responsible for implementation of team’s business growth proposal (+50%) with 3-year plan including deliverables and KPIs. I.e., streamlining and improving of existing, and introduction of new offerings
- Digital Transformation: Management of change, as HVPD move towards a digital test team, adopting our new software platform and use of latest technology (i.e., remote headsets, workflows, etc.) across all aspects of our test offering
- Management of the Test, Installation, Data Analysis and Monitoring teams and projects, including the operations executive administrator, with complete departmental accountability including P&L and budget
- Experience of writing, editing, and approving professional engineering reports along with presenting and assisting customers on follow up actions
- Recognised as a technical expert in condition monitoring. Working knowledge and expertise of relevant HV testing standards for all HV asset types, including off-line testing methods, ideally Partial Discharge (PD). Understanding and experience of 3rd Party Witnessing, Consulting as lead engineer, Failure Investigations/RCAs, etc.
- Technical Support to business, including commercial team
- Key link between development (new products & services) and test/installation services. Providing on-site feedback to assist direction of development pipeline
- Act as global resource and ambassador on consultation and expert analysis for customers, including attendance at customer meetings, at-site demonstrations, and conferences/exhibitions, in addition to writing and presenting of technical papers
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of HNC/HND (ideally bachelors/masters/PhD degree) in an Engineering subject (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a similar field/industry for over 7 years
- Experience of delivering partial discharge/condition monitoring and installation projects
- Experience managing a team – leadership, problem solving, decision making, communication, teamwork and people skills are essential
- Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with High Voltage equipment (ideally on-site or factory)
- Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction
- Excellent customer report / general presentation skills – attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including report writing
- Must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom
