HVPD presented with THIRD Queen’s Award

“I’m so impressed with the technology, the attention to detail, and the enthusiasm of the workforce.”

High Voltage Partial Discharge are the proud recipients of our third Queen’s Award for Enterprise, and were officially presented with the honour in a dedicated ceremony performed by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.

We are delighted to add the award to the two (for International Trade and Innovation) that we won in 2014.

Receiving the 2019 award were HVPD Directors Malcolm Seltzer-Grant, Marc Foxall, Alex Polley and Rachel Oates – who gave an in-depth presentation on the company’s journey so far.

In a special scroll accompanying the award, HRH Queen Elizabeth II wrote: “HVPD has demonstrated in the furtherance and increase of international trade, to benefit our United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island, our Channel Islands, and our Island of Man, and wishing to show our royal favour we do hereby confer upon it, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. Signed, Elizabeth R.”

HVPD were given the prestigious award for our successful expansion into new international markets, and sustained growth which has seen our export sales soar to 92% of total revenue. Furthermore, in the last 12 months, we have opened new offices in the Middle East and Texas, USA, to add to existing regional presences in the UK, China, and Western Australia.

The Vice Lord Lieutenant, Paul Griffiths, said: “My visit today is my first time [at the HVPD office], and I’m so impressed with the technology, the attention to detail, and the enthusiasm of the workforce. Many congratulations to the entire HVPD team. That you have now won three prestigious Queen’s Awards is testimony to the entire workforce at home and abroad. Thank you and well done!”
