SALFORD, UK: Media City-based global engineering company High Voltage Partial Discharge (HVPD) has announced ‘Mind in Salford’ as their charity partner for 2019.
Committed to helping the community in which the international company is headquartered, HVPD opted to pledge the coming year’s fundraising efforts to a charity who looks after the wellbeing of local people.
To better understand the work of ‘Mind in Salford’, and to develop a calendar of events best-suited to help raise money for their cause, HVPD invited the charity’s Fundraising Manager Lawrence Caygill to give a presentation to employees at their Media City office.
HVPD will be looking to build on the success of their 2018 partnership with Centrepoint, during which they raised more than £6,000 for the charity which supports vulnerable young people to escape homelessness for good and build happy, successful lives.
Temi Agbalaya, Office Coordinator and Charity Liaison, said: “We are proud to be working with such an important charity in Salford ‘Mind’, who make a genuine difference to the lives of local people.
“The statistics are shocking, but it’s fantastic that we are seeing a focus on mental health in recent years. More and more people are seeking the help they need and it’s thanks to organisations like Mind that fewer people suffer in silence.”
Based in Salford, UK, High Voltage Partial Discharge provides a comprehensive range of on-line partial discharge test and monitoring technology for in‑service condition assessment of high voltage electrical assets.
