We are looking for a graduate-level Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Development team – who is able to assist with new and existing product design and documentation across our full product range of test & monitoring solutions.

Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Design and development of new products for MV/HV systems
- Producing documentation for new and existing products
- Managing small development projects
- Providing applied engineering and technical support for HVPD development and design departments
- Interpreting specification and customers’ technical requirements
- Executing and designing the testing and evaluation of new products
- Sourcing and evaluating new components for existing and new products
- Performing MV and HV testing at HVPD's test facility and at development sites
- Being the interface between departments (production, development, etc.)
Training – Full training on our products and services will be provided
From time to time the role will require travel to MV/HV sites (substations, power plants, heavy industries, etc.).
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (and/or other relevant Engineering discipline/industry experience).
- Knowledge of Engineering Design principles
- Good computer skills, including documentation and report writing
- Ability to use advanced features of Excel and PowerPoint
- Desirable - Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment
- Desirable - Knowledgeable in the area of High Voltage
- Desirable - Knowledgeable in the use of test instrumentation: Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers
Must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
