PD Testing of Medium Voltage Switchgear

HVPD utilises the HVPD-Longshot™ PD Test System and PDGold© Software to carry out On-Line (in-service) PD Testing of Medium Voltage Solid Insulated and Air-Insulated Switchgear.

On-line PD Testing is carried out using a combination capacitive TEV sensors which are magnetically attached to strategic positions on the switchgear panel, busbar or cable box.

The PDGold© Software automatically differentiates between the captured waveforms of 'local' switchgear PD pulses and electrical 'noise' such as thyristor switching and RF noise to provide an instant On-line diagnosis of PD activity.
