On-line PD Testing of High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)

HVPD Engineers utilise the HVPD-Longshot™ PD Test System and PDGold© Software to carry out both On-Line (in-service) and Off-line (laboratory and commissioning) PD Testing of HV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).

On-line PD Testing is carried out using capacitive TEV sensors (attached to the various positions along the GIS). The PDGold© and ScopeControl© Software packages are used to detect and locate PD activity within the GIS.
