HVPD has extended its global testing services by now offering local partial discharge (PD) test services in the United States through a collaborative partnership with Tennessee based, ECHO Power Engineering.
ECHO Power Engineering's team of electrical engineers has many years experience of performing On-line PD field testing of MV and HV cables, switchgear, transformers and motors and generators. Having been trained and certified by HVPD in 2008, all of ECHO Power Engineering's PD testing is performed in accordance with IEEE and IEC standards by registered professional engineers.
ECHO Power Engineering's experience in PD testing includes a large sector of industrial users of high voltage plant equipment; refineries, chemical plants, paper mills, light industrial facilities and university campuses. With an understanding of large power distribution frameworks, operations, asset management, maintenance and testing, ECHO Power Engineering was a natural choice for a test service partnership in the United States for HVPD.
