HVPD to Exhibit at the CIGRE Session in Paris, France 23rd - 27th August 2010

High Voltage Partial Discharge (HVPD) will exhibit at the 43rd CIGRE Session Technical Exhibition in Paris, France from 23rd to 27th August 2010 at the Palais des Congrés, Porte Maillot.

Founded in 1921, CIGRE aims to facilitate and develop the exchange of engineering knowledge and information regarding the generation and the high voltage transmission of electricity. The biennial Session attracts the biggest industry names from all sectors of the electrical power energy industry, bringing together engineering personnel and technical specialists. Over 3,000 delegates from all parts of the world will attend the exhibition and conference and more than 400 papers will be presented.

On display at our exhibition stand, visitors will be able to see HVPD’s Longshot™ PD Diagnostic technology - a four channel, synchronous, ultra-wideband (0 - 400 MHz) Online partial discharge (PD) test device suitable for PD testing of all types of medium voltage and high voltage plant from 3.3kV to 400kV. Suitable for both On-line PD testing of in-service plant and Off-line PD testing with resonant test sets, the HVPD-Longshot™ technology is an efficient test device with a typical ‘spot-test’ time of 5 to 10 minutes per plant item or cable with short-term PD monitoring possible (1 - 24 hours).

The event will also be a collaborative exhibit between HVPD and SebaKMT (Germany) to launch the new LPD-Monitor which has been jointly developed by both companies. The LPD-Monitor is a 16-Channel, 24/7 diagnostic portable PD monitoring technology for MV and HV Plant.
