With over 10 years working at HVPD Ltd and its sister company, IPEC Engineering Ltd, in the UK, our Senior Electronics Engineer, Dr Wanan Fu has recently relocated to his home town of Dalian in the Liaoning Province to provide local support to HVPD's agents and customers in China.
Wanan has been involved in all facets of electronic engineering developments at HVPD and IPEC Engineering in the UK for the last 11 years. Wanan's expertise ranges from the design of power electronic drives for mv switchgear to electronics circuit design for hv partial discharge (PD) monitoring systems to embedded software design. Since HVPD was established he has been an integral member of the team, initially recruited as a Research Fellow, and then a PhD student at The University of Manchester and since 2004 as Senior Electronics Engineer.
Previously, Wanan was an Associate Professor in Electronic Circuit Design and Applications at Dalian Railway Institute, China and completed an IPEC-sponsored PhD on High Voltage System Monitoring and Protection at the University of Manchester in May 2003.
Dalian is the second largest city of the Liaoning Province at the centre of High-Tech Development zones and technology parks. Located within a short travel distance to Beijing, Wanan is conveniently located as HVPD's local representative and technical support engineer to provide product demonstrations, applications advice and comprehensive support to our customers in Mandarin to help to further develop business in the mainland China market.
