HVPD will be exhibiting our technology in our home city of Manchester, UK in October. More than 300 hundred companies representing global leaders in renewable energy will be on display for the 33rd RenewableUK exhibition. There will also be notable speakers from the world of renewable energy speaking on their specialist areas over the conference's three days.
HVPD will be demonstrating our on-line partial discharge (PD) test and monitoring technology which has been developed to provide insulation condition monitoring of high voltage cables. This has been successfully applied with a number of offshore wind farm operators to provide on-line condition monitoring of their in-service MV and HV cables from 33 kV to 132 kV.
The conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with leading companies in the sector and gain knowledge from experts in the field. Chris Huhne, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, will speak on Wednesday the 26th at 9:45am. This will be open to all Wednesday pass holders free of charge. Other highlights include the conference's dedicated wind and tidal event on Wednesday the 26th and specialists small wind conferences on the Thursday the 27th.
In 2010 5,750 people attended the RenewableUK conference, a 65% increase on the previous year, and this year should be even bigger with a new free day at the exhibition on Thursday the 27th.
Visit HVPD at stand 456 in Exchange Hall, opposite the doors into the auditorium where the conference sessions will be taking place.
